Welcome to our April edition of our Racer Newsletter! Spring is here and everyone is the the full swing of training with less than three months to go until the BC Bike Race!
Please read below for some important information regarding registration, upgrades and race week!
Registration System Changes
We will be upgrading our registration system and changing over to Cycle Components Network (CCN). In order to process the changes our registration system will be offline from 0:00 (pst) on April 7, 2010 until 12:00 (pst) on April 8th.
You will receive an email from CCN with your new login information and information about using the new system. To ensure that you receive this important email pleas add info@cyclecomponentnetwork.com to your safe senders list or check your junk mail folder.

Price Change
On April 8th, 2010 our registration rate will go up to $2049. We are nearly sold out! If you have a friend who is planning on racing and hasn't signed up yet, please let them know to do it soon! Also, if your team has an outstanding 2nd instalment and would like to secure the current registration rate of $1899, please make those payments before midnight on April 7, 2010 (pst).

Racer Upgrades
Upgrades will be available starting on April 9, 2010. Using the new login information provided to you by CCN, you will be able to log in to the registration system and purchase upgrades.
The following upgrades will be available:
-Parking Pass - These are necessary for access to base camp and will be based on vehicle size
-Meal Plans for support crews
-Solo Tent Upgrades - there are only 50 of these available and are only available to solo racers
Racer Survey
Please follow the link below to complete our racer survey. Only one person per team needs to complete it. Racer surveys must be completed and submitted by April 16, 2010.

Race Week Accommodations
A full list of race week accommodations will be available here soon! We are working out the best deals for all of you racers, and will have the information posted shortly!
Base Camp
After you cross the finish line, you'll be greeted by our Finish Line Hosts and Aid Station. From there you can wash your steed at the bike wash in preparation for the wrenches from Obsession Bikes. Then hit bag check for your Dakine bag that we will transport for you each day.
Base Camp will be there for all your post ride needs: breakfast and dinner (if you purchased the meal plan); a shower truck, medical treatment, massage therapy team, chiropractic treatment, secure bike storage, retail area and the Race Relations Station. Tents will be set up for you each day and our Tent Hosts will assit you in finding your tent. Each Base Camp will have at least one food vendor to satisfy your hunger between the finish line and dinner. Hang out at the Bear's Den where you can meet and chill with friends or just watch your fellow racers cross the finish line.
We'll take care of you from the finish to start each day!
2010 BC Bike Race Rules
We've established the 2010 BC Bike Race rules, all racers need to review this document. Also available is the list of Mandatory Racer Gear, please review the list of items that your are required to have on you during each stage of the race here.
